White Road

The White Road property is a privately owned farm in Northland that has a large amount of rock with potential for bouldering and sport climbing.

The rock here is basalt similar to Wairere. It seems to be more solid than Wairere rock and has more overhanging sections.

Most of the rock is in the bushy areas of the property. It is mostly shaded throughout the day but it can be difficult to navigate as there
are currently no tracks or signage.

Most of the rock requires a lot of cleaning. Wire brushes may be necessary.

Cutting branches and clearing small plants to improve access to boulders is approved by the owners.
