Abbey Caves

A large concentration of limestone boulders near Whangarei. There are some amazing problems hidden in the forest area (if you can find them) and a few out in the open in the surrounding fields.

Much of the land surrounding the public area is private farmland. Bouldering is not permitted on the farmland.

The rock here is especially soft in some areas - hard brushing should be avoided.
